Why would an American president bow down to world leaders?   Why is it easy for politicians to stoke hatred for rich, fat-cat CEOs? And why do so many nations around the world hate America, the world’s lone superpower?  read more

Prell:  "Pearl Harbor and the American Century"
Seventy years ago today, America was brutally attacked at Pearl Harbor by an enemy that used planes as suicide bombs. A lesser nation would have been devastated. But America was no lesser nation. America was an exceptional nation. And so President Roosevelt vowed on December 8, 1941 that “the American people in their righteous might” would rise up and “win through to absolute victory.”  read more

Prell:  "Occupy Wall Street: a Declaration of Dependence"
As a Tea Party Patriot, I have been asked by the media to explain the differences between the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters and modern-day Tea Partiers. read more

Prell:  "Occupy Wall Street Benefits Wall Street"
Who’s benefiting from the Occupy Wall Street protests? Wall Street.  If that sounds counterintuitive to you, then check your intuition. Because, in the midst of all these Occupy Wall Street protests, Wall Street and the White House - arm in arm - are laughing all the way to the bank.  read more

Prell:
"The Obama Philosophy"
Here’s the problem with Mitt Romney. Sending Mitt Romney into battle against President Obama in 2012 is like bringing an MBA to a philosophy fight. Mitt Romney is a nice man, a decent man. It’s obvious that he’s a good manager. That’s how he positions himself. As a technocrat. A “fix-it man.” A turnaround specialist with a plan that’s better than the other guy’s plan, and a promise to bring better administration to the administration.  read more

Prell:  "Obama's White House is a Harvard Frat House"
William F. Buckley famously said “I would rather be governed by the first 2,000 names in the Boston phone book than by the 2,000 members of the faculty of Harvard University.”  By contrast, President Obama would rather America be governed by the faculty of Harvard University than by the first 2,000 people in any American phone book.  Least of all; the business pages. read more

Prell:  "In Defense of Bullying"
I was bullied as a child. Mercilessly. Would my childhood have been more pleasant had I not been bullied? Of course. But my adulthood would have been robbed of its clarity, and of my clear-eyed understanding of the world in which we live-bullies and all.  read more

Prell:  "The definition of insanity: President Obama’s 'jobs plan'"
The definition of insanity (hat-tip to Albert Einstein) is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  So, what do you call it when a flailing U.S. administration, with a 26% approval rating for its handling of the economy, keeps trotting out the same failed economic policies? Do they honestly expect different results?  read more

New York Times: "Tea Partiers: Mainstream or Menace?"
Jenny Beth Martin is the co-founder and national coordinator of Tea Party Patriots.  The columnist Charles Krauthammer declared the Tea Party to be the winner of the debt ceiling debate, and recommended that we all “declare victory and go home."  Wrong, and no.  read more

Prell:  "Bachmann VS Obama: Submissive Wife or Submissive President?"
During the GOP debate last Thursday, Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was asked, “as president, would you be submissive to your husband?” Why was she asked such a question? Because, as a Christian, Mrs. Bachmann had previously espoused the belief that a wife should be submissive to her husband.  The crowd booed the question. Mrs. Bachmann was gracious in her reply.  read more

Prell: "Obama made them hate us"
A new Zogby poll, “Arab Attitudes, 2011,” has revealed that President Obama’s charm offensive in the Arab world has failed. After he promised to restore America’s international reputation, not only does the Arab world hate America more under Mr. Obama than it did under President George W. Bush, it even hates Mr. Obama - personally - more than it detested the swaggering unilateralist cowboy from Texas.  read more

Prell:  Obama and the end of American power
Outgoing Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said something that is true for almost every American reading these words: “I spent my entire adult life with the United States as a superpower, and one that had no compunction about spending what it took to sustain that position.” read more
